Lymphatic Drainage
Who knew your lymphatic system was such an essential part of being healthy and happy?
Your lymphatic system is actually both a part of your immune system and circulatory system, which are two very vital systems which are in charge of creating a normal flow and equilibrium within your body. The system itself is made up of a very large network of lymphatic vessels, lymphatic or lymphoid organs and lymphoid tissues. These vessels carry a clear fluid called lymph to your one and only heart and at the same time filter out the nasties and return it to your bloodstream. This fluid is what leaks out of your cells and tissues which can lead to swelling. Without your lymphatic system working efficiently inflammation and disease can occur.
So how can a poor lymphatic system affect you? Well due to the swelling it can show all over your face and body. It can cause you to look bloated and puffy, on a larger scale it can lead to a range of health issues including tissue swelling, poor skin tone, excess weight, cellulite, headaches, fatigue and susceptibility to illness.
And how can you help this?
