Living a sedentary lifestyle can be dangerous to your Health. A lot of Sitting increases your chances of Cancers and Cardiovascular diseases by 10-20%. And what do we do everyday? We Sit.

Everything around us is generically made and not necessarily made ergonomically friendly. This is why a lot of people that sit at a desk everyday all day start to complain of a myriad of health problems. Sometimes headaches, sometimes fatigue, sometimes neck and back pains, sometimes more mental and emotional stress. Everyday we add more and more stress to our bodies just by merely sitting and staring at a screen, looking down at our phones or having no support in our chairs. Everyday the stress on our bodies pile up, from years of continuous pressure, leading in pain as the end result.

Usually when we feel pain it means that the stress has been there for a long time. Layers and layers of stress and pressure build up due to constant compensation that our bodies undergo. This compensation can be caused simply by the bones within our spines or bodies misaligning. This could be due to the way we sit, the way we sleep, the way we carry your handbags or our form when exercising. The effects of these bones moving out of place can be very harmful long term on our bodies. One area misaligning can impact our entire body as our body works as a single unit. The bone can move out of place, which can lead to pressure building up on our intervertebral discs (essentially like cheese in a sandwich, these discs are what provide movement and flexibility within our bodies). Unfortunately if the pressure stays long term on our bodies our discs will start to get thinner and thinner and eventually can lead to a disc herniation etc. The other effects are pressure on the nerves that control our entire body from every muscle to organ to function that our body has. Additionally our muscles will become tight due to constant compensation and trying to correct the misalignment. But will not be able to solely by itself. This is when Chiropractic care is essential. Chiropractic care assists in realigning areas that are misaligned in order to create balance within your body so that everything is working in unity with each other. The more lack of balance the more issues become apparent as we age. This is why keeping your body healthy and in balance is key to a happy life.
