Cosmetic acupuncture works holistically to balance the body within and assist graceful aging while stimulating the skin to heal itself. During your consultation we will start with facial acupuncture and follow it with facial massage and Gua sha or facial cupping to increase blood flow and lymph drainage. Needles will also be inserted in the body, to address underlying imbalances that cause stress and premature aging.
During your treatment, hair thin needles are inserted into the dermis layer of the skin which creates a causing micro trauma. This causes the body to produce collagen and elastin and increases blood flow — resulting in; reduced pigmentation and age spots, Reduced acne breakouts, restored fine lines and wrinkles, increased hydration and improved skin complexion. For best results weekly treatments for a minimum or six weeks are needed.
Radiant Benefits
Cosmetic acupuncture, also known as facial acupuncture, offers a natural and non-invasive approach to enhance skin health and address signs of aging. Here are some of the key benefits:
Reduced wrinkles and fine lines: By stimulating collagen production and improving skin elasticity, cosmetic acupuncture can help diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Improved skin tone and texture: The increased blood flow and lymphatic drainage promoted by acupuncture can lead to a more radiant and youthful complexion.
Reduced puffiness and dark circles: The treatment can help alleviate puffiness under the eyes and reduce the appearance of dark circles.
Lifted and tightened skin: Acupuncture can help to lift sagging skin and improve facial contour.
Enhanced skin hydration: By stimulating the body's natural healing processes, acupuncture can help to improve skin hydration and reduce dryness.
Reduced stress and tension: The relaxing effects of acupuncture can help to alleviate facial tension and stress, which can contribute to premature aging.
Boosted immune function: Acupuncture can help to strengthen the immune system, leading to healthier skin and a more vibrant appearance.
It's important to note that results may vary from person to person, and a course of treatment may be required to achieve optimal results.
The original theory behind acupuncture treatment is that the healthy functioning of the body is governed by the flow of “qi” (often translated as “energy”) through a system of channels under the skin. When this flow of qi is impaired, illness occurs. By inserting fine needles at various points along the channels, the body’s balance can be restored and the illness resolved.
Acupuncture points are believed to stimulate the central nervous system. This, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes may stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.
What does acupuncture feel like?
Acupuncture is done using hair-thin needles. Most people report feeling minimal pain as the needle is inserted. The needle is inserted to a point that produces a sensation of pressure or ache. Needles may be heated during the treatment or mild electric current may be applied to them. Some people report acupuncture makes them feel energized. Others say they feel relaxed.
Instead of needles, other forms of stimulation are sometimes used over the acupuncture points, including:
Heat (moxibustion)
Pressure (acupressure)
Friction
Suction (cupping)
Impulses of electromagnetic energy
National Institutes of Health (NIH) studies have shown that acupuncture is an effective treatment alone or in combination with conventional therapies to treat the following:

Cupping is a form of traditional Chinese and Middle Eastern medicine. People have practiced cupping therapy for thousands of years.
What To Expect After Cupping?

As with all therapies, there is a small risk of minor side effects from cupping therapy.
These side effects can include:
- Bruising, this is most common with static cupping and most bruises disappear within 10 days
- Mild soreness in the areas where cupping is used
- Minimal pain
