Performance & Recovery. A physiotherapist with over a decade of experience across New Zealand, Rhys Norton is dedicated to optimizing health through a fusion of manual therapy and scientific discipline. He holds a Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Science from AUT, specializing in strength and conditioning to achieve peak results for his clients.
The Hybrid Approach. Rhys combines a strong foundation in hands-on techniques—including massage, dry needling, and cupping—with targeted exercise prescription. His philosophy centers on working with people over long timeframes to help them return to the activities they love.
Waiheke Roots. Now based on Waiheke Island, Rhys balances high-intensity practice with an active family life. Whether training in jiu-jitsu or spending time at the beach with his wife and two daughters, he leads by example, prioritizing discipline and physical movement in his own daily wellness journey.
Having a solid morning routine: sunlight, hydration, and movement.
A walk and a swim at the beach usually does the trick!
Being really disciplined with my exercise, prioritizing that even when life gets hectic.
I wake up early, before the kids, to have uninterrupted time to breathe and move before the chaos of the day begins.
Jiu jitsu, swimming in the ocean, and play fighting with my kids.
"Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker was a game changer, and I also love the Huberman Lab podcast.
