Hands-on manual therapy — including therapeutic soft tissue work and massage — when delivered as part of a physiotherapy treatment plan for an ACC-covered injury may be included within your ACC claim. This is different from booking a standalone massage. If you have an injury and are wondering whether ACC could cover your treatment, come in and our team will assess your situation and advise you at your first appointment.
Your first appointment includes a thorough consultation, physical assessment and movement analysis. Your physiotherapist will explain their findings, discuss your goals and develop an individualised treatment plan. Our physiotherapists work with a wide range of presentations including sports injuries, back and neck pain, shoulder injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, workplace injuries, postural issues, headaches, pelvic pain during pregnancy, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Dry needling involves the insertion of fine needles into myofascial trigger points to address muscle tension and movement restriction.
