Growing up with a father who was a Chiropractor, she developed a deep appreciation for the human body and its incredible potential. This background not only helped her maintain peak performance as a dancer but also ignited her passion for empowering others to take action in their health.
With a strong desire to inspire and guide individuals toward a balanced and healthy lifestyle, Dr. Jessy’s goal is to help people transition from a reactive to a proactive mindset in their well-being. Originally from Canada, Dr. Jessy moved to New Zealand over five years ago to pursue her Chiropractic career, and she’s dedicated to making a positive impact on the health of her community.

Q: What's one simple wellness tip you swear by?
I aim to move my body more whenever I can. If there's a task I can do while walking, I'll take that opportunity. I also make simple choices like always taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

A self-care night to prioritize my health and well-being which includes things like taking a soothing bath to relax my muscles and ease tension, followed by applying a nourishing face mask to refresh my skin.

I love creating a calm atmosphere with candles and calming music as I journal. It’s a time for me to reflect on my day and set thoughtful intentions for the days ahead. This ritual helps me center myself, find clarity, and nurture my mental well-being.

I have a daily wellness routine that includes a checklist of key activities, such as stretching, meeting my water intake goals, and hitting my daily step count. This system challenges me to stay consistent and motivated, ensuring I prioritize my health and well-being every day.

Instagram has been a great resource in my wellness journey. By following a variety of health pages: fitness experts, nutritionists, and mental health advocates; I’ve gained valuable tips, motivation, and inspiration to stay on track with my physical and mental well-being.

Q: What's a healthy habit you're most proud of?
Establishing a healthy night routine is key to better sleep. I make it a habit to turn off all screens an hour before bed to help my body wind down and improve my sleep quality. I also prioritize getting 8 hours of sleep each night, allowing my body and mind to fully rest and recharge for the day ahead.

Increasing my water consumption has made a significant difference in my life. I feel more energized, my mood has improved, and I’ve noticed better focus and mental clarity. Staying hydrated has helped me feel more balanced and refreshed throughout the day.

Spending time with friends and family always leaves me feeling re-energized and truly alive. Their presence lifts my spirits, strengthens my sense of connection, and reminds me of the importance of love and support. My favorite film genre is comedy, so whenever I’m in the mood for a good laugh, I love watching a funny show or movie with the people I care about most. Sharing those moments of laughter fills my heart with so much joy.
