Dr. James has a decade of clinical experience as a chiropractor helping thousands of patients with a range of symptoms. He was born, raised and studied chiropractic in Auckland before moving to Australia to start his professional career.

Two of his career highlights are the time he spent as an intern mentor and assistant lecturer at the New Zealand Chiropractic College in 2019 and providing chiropractic to the people of Rarotonga on a mission trip in 2014.

Seeing his client’s journey toward a more vibrant health is a driving force behind his craft. Dr. James has a solution-based approach with the deep understanding that chiropractic unlocks your body’s ability to recover, heal and thrive.

As a husband and father he loves spending time with his wife and family. He regularly gets chiropractic adjustments to stay at optimum performance on the Jiu Jitsu mats and in the gym.

  • Q: What's one simple wellness tip you swear by?

    At the first sign of a cold or flu, chop up a clove of raw garlic and knock it back with a glass of water. TIP: a bit of honey helps the taste!

  • Q: How do you like to de-stress after a busy day?

    A candlelit dinner and glass of red with my wife.

  • Q: What is one thing you do for your mental wellness?

    Something simple and free, taking a few moments to appreciate the sunset or sunrise.

  • Q: What's your favorite way to prioritize your wellness on a daily basis?

    Start the day with a good cooked high protein breakfast (bacon and eggs with home grown spinach).

  • Q: What's a book, podcast, or resource that has positively impacted your wellness journey?

    About 15 years ago when I began looking into strength training I came across a simple and time tested approach at stronglifts.com. It has been the foundation of my training since. In terms of more holistic health, the book "How to eat, move and be healthy" by Paul Chek.

  • Q: What's a healthy habit you're most proud of?

    Consistently practicing gratitude by acknowledging positive aspects , as well as my physical/ exercise routine.

  • Q: What's a small change you've made recently that's improved your well-being?

    Consciously taking a moment in times of irritation at little things to breath and use the occasion to practice patience rather than frustration.

  • Q: What activity makes you feel most energized and alive?

    Brazilian Jiu jitsu

  • Q: What is something that makes you laugh?

    My wife, she's hilarious and has great banter. 

Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in wellness?

My uncle has been a chiropractor for decades and he introduced me to the profession. Developed an interest in human anatomy in my high school years but it was my uncles guidance that pointed me along the path I'm on today and haven't looked back.
